IO Tech officially launches at SILMO Paris 2026

September 13, 2026 · 4 min read

SILMO Paris runs from September 25 to 28, 2026, at Paris Nord Villepinte, and IO Tech is using the show's visibility to officially launch. No physical booth this year — the shift IO Tech represents comes across just as well remotely, and a video demo is enough to show exactly what the technology changes at the counter.

What IO Tech changes

IO Tech measures pupillary distance and centering height for progressive and aspheric lenses directly from the store's smartphone, with no pupilometer or ruler needed. An artificial intelligence cross-checks three measurement protocols — distance, near, and screen vision — to make the result more reliable, including for wearers who spend a lot of time in front of a screen. The technology was tested and validated on thousands of real cases before this announcement.

Nothing else to buy

Two ways to get equipped

IO Tech offers a €4.90/month subscription (€58.80/year, 3-year minimum commitment), or a 3-year license as a single €245 payment for opticians who'd rather pay by bank transfer or invoice than by recurring card.

Why now SILMO remains the event where the profession compares what's new from one year to the next. Announcing the launch at this exact moment ensures the tool is seen by the largest possible number of independent opticians — in France and internationally — right as they're making their equipment decisions for the year ahead.
